Tight Pants Wins NJSS Final
Tight Pants, a freshman daughter by Muscles Yankee-Soutaine Hanover-Donerail, triumphed in the $35,000 New Jersey Sire Stake Filly Final on September 29 at Freehold Raceway. The filly was in rein to driver David Miller as she was clocked in a career best 1:58.1h. She is trained by Nifty Norman in her near wire-to-wire effort as she drew off by two and a quarter lengths. Tight Pants was bred and was foaled and raised by Peninsula Farm for owners Melvin Hartmann, Herb Liverman and Dave McDuffee.

Lyrical Lady Wins PASS; Sets York Track Record
Lyrical Lady, a 2-year-old daughter by Cantab Hall-Naked Lyric-Yankee Glide, captured a $3,208 Pennsylvania Sire Stake on September 29 at the Bloomsburg County Fair, establishing a new track record in the process. Trainer Roger Hammer steered the young lass to a time of 2:01.4, winning by four lengths for owner Walter Dunn. Lyrical Lady was bred by Peninsula Farm & Allevamento Cristal, and was foaled, raised and sold by Peninsula Farm at the 2009 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg for $40,000.

Brooklyn, a freshman daughter by Conway Hall-Anna Karin’s Girl-Malabar Man, scored a 2:01.2 clocking in the fastest of three New York Sire Stakes divisions on September 26.
Trainer Frank Antonacci was in the sulky for owners Adam Victor & Sons Stable, Inc. Brooklyn was bred by the Stormi & Bruiser Stable and was sold by Peninsula Farm for $100,000 at the 2009 Lexington Selected Sale. Peninsula Farm will sell Brooklyn’s full brother—TROUBLE—at the 2010 Standardbred Horse Sale on November 8-13, 2010 at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Owned by the Maximum Force Stable, Inc. of Florida, and bred by the Valley High Stable of New Jersey, Seducedbychocolate was raised and sold by Peninsula Farm for $18,000 at the 2009 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg. Andover The Top, a 2-year-old filly by Andover Hall-Image Control-Balanced Image, captured a $10,000 freshman trot at Pocono Downs in 1:56.3 with Dave Palone at the lines for trainer Monte Gelrod. Andover The Top was bred and raised by Harry Rutherford & Diane Ingham’s Cool Creek Farm and sold by Peninsula Farm for $70,000 at the 2009 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale. Her Kadabra half-brother—THE GAME PLAN—sold in the Peninsula Farm consignment at the 2010 Canadian Open Sale.

Classic Rock N Roll, a 3-year-old son of Rocknroll Hanover-Classic Wish-Armbro Emerson, captured a heat of the Little Brown Jug at the Delaware County Fairgrounds in Ohio on September 23 in 1:50.4, making him a season’s leader for a sophomore pacing gelding on a half-mile racetrack. Peninsula is proud to offer him for sale in their Mixed Sale consignment at the Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg.

Flex The Muscle, a 3-year-old son of Muscles Yankee-Alix Hall-Conway Hall, captured the $73,500 Old Oaken Bucket at Delaware, Ohio on September 23 in 1:54.4 by five lengths. David Miller was in the sulky for trainer Ray Schnittker and owners Schnittker, Jerry Silva and the Arden Homestead Stable. The colt now has five wins in a row. He was bred by the Silver Linden Farm and now has career earnings of $417,024.

Bold And Flesh, a freshman daughter by SJ’s Caviar-Odre Coucou-Garland Lobell, captured a $35,534 stake at The Meadows on September 22 in 1:57.2 with Charlie Norris at the lines for trainer Doug Miller. Bold And Fresh is a half-sister to Coulantine (153.3), a $427,531-earning, multiple stakes winner and the dam of ROTHSCHILD (by Revenue S) who sells in the Peninsula Farm consignment at the 2010 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg.

She was sold by Peninsula Farm for $40,000 at the 2009 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg.

Day To Ponder, a 2-year-old daughter by Ponder-On This Day-Camluck, captured a $42,000 Keystone Classic in 1:53.1F--the fastest winning time of the three divisions that were contested on September 21 at The Meadows. Day To Ponder is owned by the Robert McIntosh Stables, CSX Stables and John Fielding and was driven in her wire-to-wire victory by Dave Palone for trainer Bob McIntosh.

Lisagain, a 4-year-old colt by Dragon Again-Lisheen-Abercrombie, won a $32,000 Open Handicap Pace on September 19 at Chester in a new career clocking of 1:49.1, with Andy Miller at the lines. Erv Miller trains Lisagain, who pushed his seasonal earnings to $302,254 with the victory, his ninth of the year in 24 starts. Conditioned by owner Benny Eggers, Rise Above It was bred by Michael and Kathleen Callipare and Alan S. Davadik. He sold for $8,000 in the Peninsula Farm consignment at the 2009 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale.

Peninsula Graduates Steal the Lexington Show!
Peninsula Farm graduates captured both the sophomore colt and filly finals of the Kentucky Sire Stakes on September 12 at The Red Mile, and also took the freshman colt final and nailed down show and fourth place honors as well. A pair of Peninsula pacers also captured the Kentucky Sire Stake Finals in the freshman colt and filly divisions.

Nannina, a daughter of Valley Victor--Nannina Ambrosio--American Winner, captured the $300,000 Kentucky Sire Stakes Final for sophomore trotting fillies on September 12 at The Red Mile. Trainer Brad Hanners was in the sulky behind the 3-year-old filly, who was timed in 1:57.1 in a wire-to-wire triumph, and pushed her seasonal earnings to $172,500 and her career earnings to $239,334. Victor’s Future, a 3-year-old son of Valley Victor-Baby Bella-Raffaello Ambrosio , triumphed in the $300,000 Kentucky Sire Stakes at The Red Mile on September 12. Brian Sears steered the colt to a new career clocking of 1:54.4 for trainer Trond Smedshammer and owner Joseph Muscara of Huntington Valley, Pennsylvania. Victor’s Future had captured this event as a freshman, when he earned $185,252. This season, he’s added $163,064 to that, bringing his career total earnings to a whopping $348,316. He now has a 7-3-2 record from 17 lifetime trips behind the starting gate.

Defend The Rock, a sophomore colt by Valley Victor-Jolly Jessica-Keep It A Secret, finished third in this same event in 1:55.3 with Hall of Famer Dave Magee guiding the filly. Trainer Bobby Brower co-owns the colt with Debra Garland.

Kevin Dixon and Robert Reitveld co-own the youngster with Taylor, whose, career bankroll now stands at $174,331. Audition’s full sister—VICTORS MAXIE—sells in the Peninsula Farm consignment at the 2010 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale, October 13-17.

Pembroke Big Bo, a 2-year-old son of Valley Victor-Bo-Armbro Illiad, finished third in this same race, timed in 1:57.2 with Brad Kramer at the lines for trainer Mark Ford. Owned by William Varney, Pembroke Big Bo has $40,350 in career earnings.

A pair of Valley Victor daughters finished third and fourth respectively on September 12 in the $300,000 Kentucky Sire Stake Final for freshman trotting fillies.

Adagio, a daughter by Valley Victor-Village Ballet-Mr Vic, finished third, timed in 1:59 with Ron Pierce at the lines for trainer Bobby Brower. Owned by the DM Stables, LLC of Ohio, Adagio has $38,560 in her career coffers.
