Bolt The Duer wins Franklin Consolation

Bolt The Duer, a 4-year-old son of Ponder-Wonderbolt-Artsplace, captured the $50,000 Ben Franklin consolation at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs on July 29, pacing in 1:47.4 and equaling the fastest mile ever paced on a five-eighths mile track and establishing a new track record at that Pennsylvania oval. In late May, he had won the Dan Patch Invitational at Hoosier Park, a prelude to this great triumph, and now posts $144,500 in seasonal earnings for owners All Star Racing, Inc. He is conditioned by Pete Foley and was driven to victory by Mark McDonald.  

In 2012 Bolt The Duer became the fastest horse in history on a five-eighths-mile track with a 1:47.4 world record in the $500,000 Adios Final at The Meadows. He also won the $250,000 Kentucky Sires Stakes Final at The Red Mile in 1:48.2, the $415,820 Messenger Stakes at Yonkers in 1:51.2, capping his sophomore season with a 1:51 triumph in the $130,000 Cleveland Classic at Northfield Park.

Bolt The Duer posted earnings of $902,610 last year and now has 17 wins and five seconds in 32 career starts with $1,261,168 in lifetime earnings.

As a freshman in 2011, he took a mark of p, 2, 1:51M en route to a Red Mile victory, and posted six wins in eight tries with 2-year-old earnings of $214,058. Bolt The Duer was bred, foaled, raised and sold by Peninsula Farm for $70,000 at the 2010 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg.

Uncle Peter wins Pocono Preferred Trot 
                 
Uncle Peter
, a 4-year-old son of Cantab Hall-Victory Treasure-Enjoy Lavec, captured a $25,000 Preferred Trot on June 29 at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs on June 29, clocked in 1:50.3 for driver David Miller and trainer Jimmy Takter. This horse, who captured the $602,340 Breeders Crown 2-Year-Old Trot on October 29, 2011 at Woodbine Raceway, is owned by Christina Takter, John & Jim Fielding, Brixton Medical AB and Goran Falk. He now has $795,154 in career earnings.Uncle Peter was sold by Peninsula Farm at the 2010 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale for $60,000 for breeders Johanna Beaver, Mike Carter, Mary McLoughlin & Sigmund Wolkomir.

Foiled Again amasses $5 million in Career Earnings

Foiled Again,
a gelded son of Dragon Again-In A Safe Place-Artsplace, pushed his career earnings to $5,170,444 with his latest victory on June 29 in the $500,000 Ben Franklin Memorial at Pocono Downs. This venerable pacer was clocked in a world record 1:49.2 for driver Yannick Gingras and trainer Ronnie Burke. Foiled Again is owned by Burke Racing Stable, LLC, Weaver Bruscem, LLC, and JJK Stables, LLC. When Foiled Again needs time off to rest and relax, he does so in the lovely green paddocks at Peninsula Farm in Georgetown, Kentucky.

Little Brown Fox wins Yonkers Open
Little Brown Fox,
a 4-year-old colt by Muscles Yankee-Malvictorian-Malabar Man, captured a $46,000 Open Trot on June 28 at Yonkers Raceway in 1:55.2. Brian Sears was in the sulky for trainer Jimmy Takter and owners Christina Takter, John & Jim Fielding and Brittany Farms. A winner of $1,127,163 in his career, Little Brown Fox was sold by Peninsula Farm for $35,000 at the 2010 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg.

Dancing For Money takes NJSS
Dancing For Money, a freshman daughter by Muscles Yankee-Spice Queen-Yankee Glide, won her career debute on June 28 at The Meadowlands in 1:59.3. Paula Wellwood harnessed the youngster for driver John Campbell in the New Jersey Sire Stakes event. Dancing For Money is owned by PC Wellwood Enterprises and Karen E. Carroll, both of Ontario. This filly was bred by Herb Liverman and was sold by Peninsula Farm for $35,000 at the 2012 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg.

A Perfect Gem scores Pocono Victory
A Perfect Gem, a 2-year-old daughter by Yankee Glide-Asixpakfromperfect-Windsong’s Legacy, captured her freshman debut in 1:57.2F on June 28 at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs. Howard Parker was in the sulky for trainer Erv Miller as the filly drew off by 6 lengths. A Perfect Gem is owned by Paymaq Racing, Louis Willinger and Daniel Plouffe and was bred by Robert Detweiller. She was sold in the Peninsula Farm consignment at the 2013 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale for $87,000.

June 27, 2013~Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania
Honor Thy Daughter wins Baby Races
Honor Thy Daughter, a freshman daughter by Donato Hanover-Honorable Daughter-Malabar Man, captured two consecutive baby races for trainer Jimmy Takter. She won her first on June 17 at Gaitway Farm in 2:00.4 for driver Yannick Gingras, and next took a Pocono Downs baby race on June 27 in 1:57.4 with her trainer at the lines. Honor Thy Daughter is owned by Brittany Farms, Marvin Katz and AJ Libfeld and was bred by the Valley High Stable, and was foaled and raised at Peninsula Farm. She sold in the Peninsula Farm consignment at the 2012 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg for $100,000.
