Victor’s Vicky captured the $32,000 Open Trot at Yonkers on Feb. 19, 2010 in 1:59.3 for driver Jordan Stratton and trainer Richard Johson. The 7-year-old daughter of Valley Victor--Deaconess Hanover--Sierra Kosmos now has $23,680 in seasonal earnings and $476,552 in career earnings for the Fabulous Farms LLC of Verona, New Jersey. This makes three out of the last four weekends that a Valley Victor son or daughter has won the open trot at Yonkers.

Impressive Earl captured the $32,000 Open Handicap Trot for the second straight week in row, clocked in 1:57.3 with Stephane Bouchard at the lines on Feb. 5, 2010 at Yonkers. Lou Pena conditions the 7-year-old gelded son of Valley Victor--Nina Yorktown--Pride N Pleasure for owners the Lightning Lane Stables of Staten Island, New York. Impressive Earl now has $44,000 in seasonal earnings with three wins and a second in four starts. The gelding has a 20-9-12 record from 20 lifetime starts and $219,769 in career earnings.
February 1, 2010--Lexington, Kentucky Peninsula Grads Garner O'Brien Awards
Il Vilaggio and Elusive Desire--both Peninsula Farm graduates--nabbed top honors at Canada's annual O'Brien awards ceremony, held Jan 30, 2010 to recognize the horses and people who have made the greatest contribution to Canadian harness racing over the past season. Elusive Desire--a daughter of Angust Hall-Valley Amber-Valley Victory-- took home her second consecutive O’Brien trophy, this time in the 3-year-old trotting filly division for PC Wellwood Enterprises of Cambridge, H Charles Armstrong of Brampton and Robert Fasken of Oakville, ON. The multiple stakes winner won $834,534 in season’s earnings. Elusive Desire--who was bred by Bill Weaver's Valley High Stable--sold for $65,000 in the Peninsula Farm consignment at the 2007 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg.
Il Villaggio & driver Tim Tetrick
Il Villaggio was voted 2-Year-Old Trotting Colt of the Year. The Yankee Glide-Dance To Market-Balanced Image colt boasted six victories and $464,521 in purse earnings. He enjoyed a three-race win streak at Mohawk in September, culminating with a victory in the William Wellwood Memorial Trot for owners Brittany Farm, Blue Chip Bloodstock & the Il Villaggio Partners. He was bred by Diane Ingham and Harry Rutherford, and was sold by Peninsula Farm for $100,000 in the 2008 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale.
