August 29, 2010~Lexington, Kentucky Revolve Wins Red Mile Trot
Revolve, a 2-year-old son of Valley Victor-Racy Roz-Conway Hall, scored his first career victory in a Red Mile overnight on August 29 at Lexington's famed one-miler. Driven by his trainer-owner Alvin Parker, Revolve was clocked in 2:01.3, as he drew away from his rivals by two and a quarter lengths. Revolve was bred by the Caldwell family of Georgetown, Kentucky.

August 28, 2010~Meadowlands, Pennsylvania Andover The Top Ties Track Record Andover The Top, a 2-year-old filly by Andover Hall-Image Control-Balanced Image, captured a $56,346 Pennsylvania Sires Stakes in 1:55.3 on August 28 at The Meadows, tying the track record for her age and gait. She was steered to her seven and one quarter length victory by Hall of Fame reinsman Dave Palone for trainer Monte Gilrod. Andover The Top was bred and raised by Harry Rutherford & Diane Ingham’s Cool Creek Farm and sold in the Peninsula Farm consignment for $70,000 at the 2009 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale. August 28, 2010~Meadowlands, Pennsylvania Lyrical Lady Second in PASS Lyrical Lady, a 2-year-old daughter by Cantab Hall-Naked Lyric-Yankee Glide finished second by a nose in a $56,746 Pennsylvania Sires Stake on August 20 at The Meadows. Lyrical Lady was clocked in 1:58 with driver Brian Zendt at the lines for trainer-owner Walter Dunn. Lyrical Lady was bred by Peninsula Farm & Allevamento Cristal, and was foaled, raised and sold by Peninsula Farm at the 2009 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg for $40,000.

Trainer Mark Ford conditions the youngster for the All Star Racing, Inc. Mike Oosting steered the speedy filly to a 1:54.3 clocking for trainer Chuck Sylvester, who conditions her for owners Melvin Hartmann, Herb Liverman and Dave McDuffee. Behindclosedoors was sold by Peninsula Farm for $125,000 at the 2008 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg. August 27, 2010~Freehold, New Jersey Flex The Muscle Wins NJSS Flex The Muscle, a 3-year-old son of Muscles Yankee-Alix Hall-Conway Hall, captured $100,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes Final on August 27 at Freehold Raceway. David Miller was in the sulky as the colt was timed in 1:56.2 and pushed his career earnings to $343,949. Ray Schnittker conditions and co-owns the colt along with Jerry Silva and the Arden Homestead Stable. Flex The Muscle was bred by the Silver Linden Farm of Indiana.

August 26, 2010~Lexington, Kentucky Valley Victor Trio Finish One-Two-Three in KYSS A talented trio of sophomore trotters—all Valley Victor progeny—finished first, second and third in a $15,000 Kentucky Sire Stakes test on August 26 at Lexington’s famed Red Mile.
Victor’s Future, out of the Raffaello Ambrosio mare Baby Bella, captured the event in 1:55.4, a career best for the youngster who is trained by Trond Smedshammer and was driven by Brian Sears. It was the colt’s sixth win in 15 lifetime starts and pushed his earnings to $194,566 for owner Joseph Muscara of Huntington Valley, Pennsylvania.
Rome, out of the Sierra Kosmos mare Brescia finished second in 1:56 with John Campbell at the lines for trainer Buck Sprinkle, who leases the colt from the Walnut Hall Stock Farm.
Defend The Rock, out of the Keep It A Secret mare Jolly Jessica finished third with driver Dave Magee in the sulky in 1:56.2, for trainer Bobby Brower. Owned by Brower and Debra Garland, Defend The now has $85,392 in career earnings.

Kenda, a 2-year-old daughter by Yankee Glide-Gramola Grande-Mr Lavec, captured the $18,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes with driver Steve Smith at the lines, clocked in 2:00.1 Paul Wojtowicz trains the filly for Kjell Magne Anderson of Oslo, Norway and Kermit Hinshaw of Iowa. She was bred by Allevamento Labambolaccia and sold by Peninsula Farm for $3,000 at 2009 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale.
Seducedbychocolate, a freshman daughter of Chocolatier-Seducer Hall-Garland Lobell, finished second by a neck in this same event for driver David Miller and trainer Jonas Czernyson, who conditions the filly for the Maximum Force Stable, Inc. of Florida. Audition, by Valley Victor-Hot Dog Mustard-Crowning Point, won the race in wire-to-wire fashion in 2:00 with Hall of Famer Dave Magee at the lines. Co-owner Robert Taylor conditions the youngster for partners Robert Reitveld and Kevin Dixon. Peninsula Farm will sell his full sister—VICTORS MAXIE—at the 2010 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale.
The Evictor was second by a nose to Audition, steered by Brian Sears for trainer Tony Alagna. This son of Valley Victor-Expressive Chip-Pine Chip was bred by Walstan Farm, and was sold by Peninsula Farm at the 2009 Lexington Selected Sale for $30,000. Captain George, by Valley Victor-Lodgepole Pine-Pine Chip, was third in this race, clocked in 2:00.4 for driver Peter Wrenn and trainer Brent Davis. August 1, 2010~Thunder Ridge, Kentucky Uniquely-Raised Filly Wins KYSS Doris Leader, a 2-year-old daughter by Fred Johnson-Perfect Leader-Brave Leader, captured a $2,000 freshman Kentucky Sire Stakes on August 1 at Thunder Ridge Raceway in 1:59h. Dan Noble was at the lines for trainer Aaron Young, who co-owns and co-bred the filly with Bob Griffith.
Griffith was previously the farm manager for the Paris, KY-based Poplar Hill Farm when Bye Bye Byrd and Poplar Byrd stood there for owners Mr. and Mrs. Larkin of Chicago, who were killed in a plane crash in the 1960s. Griffith owns the stallion Fred Johnson p, 4, Q1:57.4M ($6,319) and the mare Perfect Leader p,5, 1:58.2F ($36,889), who both share a paddock on his farm.
When Fred Johnson and Perfect Leader bred and later produced Doris Leader, both the stallion and the mare remained in the paddock with her, raising her until she was weaned. Doris Leader now has $3,220 in earnings with stats of 2-1-2 in just seven lifetime starts.
