April 30, 2010--Meadow Lands, PA Hokie Spirit Wins Jans Luck Final
Hokie Spirit, a 3-year-old daughter by Dragon Again--Yankee Fresca--Western Hanover, captured the $30,000 final of the Jans Luck Series April 30 at The Meadows. She was driven by Mike Wilder for trainer Dan Altmeyer to a 1:54.4 clocking. Owned and bred by Ronald Mersky of Paris, Kentucky, Hokie Spirit has $50,896 in career earnings, and was sold in the Peninsula Farm consignment at the 2008 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale for $4,000.
April 30, 2010--East Rutherford, NJ The Chancellor Second in Hiram Woodruff The Chancellor, a 4-year-old son of Yankee Glide--Prime Mistress--Super Bowl, finished second in the Hiram Woodruff Series Final, trotting in 1:53.2 for driver Andy Miller and trainer Julie Miller. He is owned by the Andy Miller Stable and the Arden Homestead Stable and now has $454,006 in career earnings. The Chancellor was sold by Peninsula Farm for $32,000 at the 2007 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale and his Cantab Hall half-brother--BEER SUMMIT--will sell at the Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg this fall.
April 23, 2010--The Poconos, Pennsylvania Flex The Muscle wins 2010 Debut
Flex The Muscle, a sophomore son of Muscles Yankee--Alix Hall--Conway Hall, captured his 2010 debut at The Poconos on April 23. This trotter was in rein to trainer Ray Schnittker and posted a wire-to-wire, 1:55.1 clocking, with a :29.3 late quarter brush. As a freshman he earned $95,895 for owners Schnittker, Jerry Silva and the Arden Homestead Stable, and now has $101,395 in career earnings, with a 6-4-1 record from 14 career starts. Flex The Muscle was bred by Silver Linden Farm and sold by Peninsula at 2008 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg for $140,000.

Stimulus, a sophomore son of Credit Winner--The Temptress--Malabar Man, captured a $10,000 conditioned trot at The Meadowlands in his very first start of 2010, in 1:56.4, by nine and a quarter lengths. Daniel Dube steered the youngster for trainer Jimmy Takter and ownrers Christina Takter, John Fielding and Falkbolegan AB/ This colt was bred by Peninsula Farm and the Arden Homestead Stable and sold for $65,000 at the 2008 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale. His Yankee Glide half-sister--FANCY HOOF STEPS--will sell in the Peninsula Farm consignment at the 2010 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale this fall.
April 15, 2010--East Rutherford, New Jersey The Chancellor wins at The Big M The Chancellor, a 4-year-old son of Yankee Glide--Prime Mistress--Super Bowl, captured the first leg of the Hiram Woodruff Series, in the fastest time of any of the divisions, trotting in 1:53.2. The hardy trotter scored his third consecutive victory for driver Andy Miller and trainer Julie Miller and drew off to win in a new career mark by five lengths. He is owned by the Andy Miller Stable and the Arden Homestead Stable and now has $438,006 in career earnings. The Chancellor was sold by Peninsula Farm for $32,000 at the 2007 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale and his Cantab Hall half-brother--BEER SUMMIT--will sell at the Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg this fall.
