Hibbler Wins Champlain Stakes
Hibbler, a son of Striking Sahbra--Meghan's Memories--Mystic Park, captured his fourth straight start in as many career tries, capturing the $107,954 Champlain Stakes Final in a career best of 1:56.1 with driver Rick Zeron at the lines on Aug. 31 at Mohawk Raceway. Murry Weber conditions the freshman trotter, who has $140,277 in career earnings. He was recently purchased by Gordon Rumpel of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Hibbler was raised and sold at the 2007 Forest City Sale for $12,000.

Shangai Lil
captured the $300,000 Kentucky Sires Stakes Final on Aug. 31 at Lexington's Red Mile in a career best of 1:51.2 with driver Dave Palone at the lines. She used an explosive :26.4 late kick to notch her third career victory. The 2-year-old daughter by Jenna's Beach Boy, out of the Artsplace mare Wonderbolt is trained by Peter Foley. The freshman filly now has earned $198,839 for All Star Racing, Inc. of Towaco, New Jersey, who purchased the filly for $45,000 from Peninsula Farm, who bred and raised her. Her full sister--Makes You Wonder--sells in the Peninsula Farm consignment at the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale, Oct. 1-5.

captured the $300,000 Kentucky Sire Stakes Final on Aug. 31 for driver Mike Lachance and trainer Peter Foley. This freshman gelding paced the mile in 1:51.4, pushing his career earnings to $221,270, with a 6-2-2 record from 14 lifetime starts. The son of Jenna's Beach Boy--Wonderbolt--Artsplace is owned by All Star Racing of New Jersey. He is a full sister to Shanghi Lil, who won the filly division of this stake on this same day. Their full sister---Makes You Wonder--sells in the Peninsula Farm consignment in the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale on Oct. 1-5, 2008.

The 6-year-old gelded son of Jenna's Beach Boy--Smilethedayaway--Abercrombie won by eight and a half lengths for trainer Peter Foley and owners All Star Racing of Towaco, New Jersey. The gelding now has $343,977 in lifetime earnings.

progeny took the spotlight at Pana in the Big Ten Colt Stakes.  Winning in 2:05.4 in a $3,930 Big Ten Colt Stake was Supreme Victor (Valley Victor-Miss Noble Hustle-Noble Hustle) for driver-trainer Jamacia Patton and owner John Carver of Illinois. The gelding winner of $10,751 lifetime has a record of 4-4-3 in 16 career starts. Mystical Patches finished second for driver Mike Rogers and trainer Pam Coleman. The winner of $32,470 is owned by the Mystical Marker Farm of Illinois.  In the second divison, Lynn's Two Spot (Valley Victor-Winding-Sorceror Hanover) finished second, trotting in 2:08.1 for trainer-driver, co-owner James Fox and co-owner Bambi Fox.

Arbeedo captured a $50,500 New Jersey Sires Stakes in dead-heat fashion along with the winning Wildflower Hanover on Aug. 30 at Freehold Raceway. Jeff Gregory was in the sulky for trainer Richard Norman behind the freshman son of Artsplace--Shoobeedobeedo--Jate Lobel as he was timed in 1:56.4. He was foaled and raised at Peninsula Farm for owner Dave McDuffee of Nashua, New Hampshire.

Red High Heels, by Cam's Card Shark--Streisand's Place--Artsplace, finished third in this same event for trainer Michael Hall and driver James Pantaleano. Red High Heels was sold by Peninsula Farm at the 2007 Lexington Selected Sale for $7,000.

The sophomore filly by Angus Hall--Fiery Chip--Pine Chip was clocked in 1:55.3 with Trevor Ritchie at the lines for trainer Mark Staecy. The winner of $169,649 lifetime is owned by David Reid, Malcom G Man Son Hiring, David McDonald and A K Malick Stable of Ontario and British Columbia. McCarron was bred, raised and sold by Peninsula Farm for $82,000 at the 2006 Harrisburg Sale.

Owned by Rick McGraw, James Steiren and Benita Simmons of Illinois, Most Remarkable has a half-brother by Cambest--Remarkable Cam--that will sell in the Peninsula Farm consignment at the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale, Oct. 1-5, 2008.

Hay Goodlooking set a new track record on Aug. 29 at Tioga Downs, pacing in 1:52.4 for driver-trainer Gaetan Brunet in the $50,181 New York Sire Stakes 2-Year-Old Colt Trot. The freshman son of Art Major--Monique's Legacy--Pacific Rocket now has $74,063 in career earnings for owners Ted Gewertz, Samuel Dotro and Debbie Brunet of New York and New Jersey.  This fine colt was sold by Peninsula Farm at the 2007 Lexington Select Yearling Sale for $14,000, and his half-sister by Western Terror, Appreciation, will sell in this year's Lexington event, Oct. 1-5, 2008.

Northmedo Esther finished third in this same race. Chris Page steered the freshman daughter of Chip Chip Hooray--Northmedo Blessing--Striking Sahbra for trainer Michael Medors and owners the Northmedo Stables of Ohio.

Shady Chip, a freshman daughter by Chp Chip Hooray--Whiteshadeofpale--Dancer's Victory, finished fourth in this same race for driver Kurt Sugg. The filly is trained by Charles Myrick for owner Second Chance Stable of Ohio.

This colt was sold by Peninsula Farm in the 2006 Harrisburg Sale for $100,000 and his half-sister by Camluck--Lisclaire--will sell in the Peninsula Farm consignment at the 2008 Harrisburg Sale, Nov. 3-8.

Refocus (Valley Victor--Wall Street Floozy--Wall Street Banker) scored her third straight win and fourth career victory with trainer Jamacia Patton at the lines in 2:03.2, winning a $4,219 Big Ten Colt Stake for owner John Carver of Illinois.

Huddy Buddy (Valley Victor--Jacalena--Sorcerer Hanover) won his second straight county fair test in 2:11.2 with trainer Dirk Simpson in the bike on August 7. Simpson co-owns the gelding in partnership with breeder Donald Huddleson of Illinois.

Mystical Patches (Valley Victor--Fausta--Trottin' Happy) captured a 3-year-old open trot at Altamont on August 5 for driver Neil Coleman and trainer Pamela Coleman in 2:05.1. The victory was the third of the colt's career, who is owned by the Mystical Marker Farm.

Validated (Valley Victor--Hit The Lights--Super Ben Jo) won a maiden trot in 2:13.1 on August 5 for trainer-drvier Ray Hanna and owner Julius Munie of Illinois.
