Chimon Wins Conditioned Trot
Chimon, a freshman son of SJ's Caviar--Gildone--Muscles Yankee, captured an $8,000 conditioned trot on October 29 at Pocono Downs. Marcus Johansson steered the sophomore trotter for trainer Jimmy Takter, and owners Christina Takter and John Fielding. Chimon was bred by Valley High Stable and sold for $45,000 in the Peninsula Farm consignment at the 2008 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg. His Andover Hall half-brother—CAMPO BOSSO—sells in the Peninsula Farm consignment at the 2010 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg.

October 27, 2010~Chester, Pennsylvania
Take My Picture Wins at Chester
Take My Picture, a sophomore son of Classic Photo-Habit’s Lady-Muscles Yankee, captured a $12,000 Chester overnight on October 27. Andy Miller was in the sulky for trainer Nikolas Drennan as the 3-year-old gelding was timed in 1:54.4. Owned by Joseph and Laurie Davino, Take My Picture was bred by the Status Stables and sold for $35,000 by Peninsula Farm at the 2008 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg. His Donato Hanover half-brother—LORD AND LADY—sells at the 2010 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg in the Peninsula Farm consignment.

Behindclosedoors Wins Bluegrass

Behindclosedoors, a 3-year-old filly by Andover Hall-Margarita Nights-Yankee Glide, stormed to victory in a $70,500 Bluegrass Stake for sophomore filly trotters on October 22 at Lexington’s famed Red Mile. Dave Palone drove the filly to a 1:55.1 clocking for trainer Chuck Sylvester and owners Melvin Hartmann, Herb Liverman and Dave McDuffee. With $538,380 in her lifetime coffers, Behindclosedoors has more than recouped her $125,000 yearling tag from the Peninsula Farm consignment at the 2008 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg. Peninsula Farm will sell her full brother—MORNING AFTER—at the Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg, November 8-13, 2010.

Miss Sue V Wins Bluegrass
Miss Sue V, a freshman daughter of Credit Winner-Sunday Yankee-Muscles Yankee, captured a $90,000 Bluegrass division in a career best 1:56.1 on October 21 at The Red Mile. Brian Sears was in the sulky for trainer Paul Kelley. Miss Sue V now has $114,382 in career earnings for owners Bill Weaver and the Kelley Racing Stable. Miss Sue V was raised by Peninsula Farm and was bred by the Valley High Stable of New Jersey. Her half-sister by Cantab Hall—I HATE MONDAYS—sells in the Peninsula Farm consignment at the Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg, November 8-13, 2010.

Brooklyn Wins Bluegrass Division

Brooklyn, a freshman daughter by Conway Hall-Anna Karin’s Girl-Malabar Man, trotted to victory in a $88,500 Bluegrass Stake on October 14 at The Red Mile. Tim Tetrick steered the filly for trainer Frank Antonacci, who conditions Brooklyn for owners Adam Victor & Sons Stable, Inc. Brooklyn was bred by the Stormi & Bruiser Stable and was sold by Peninsula Farm for $100,000 at the 2009 Lexington Selected Sale. Peninsula Farm will sell Brooklyn’s full brother—TROUBLE—at the Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg on November 8-13, 2010.

Behindclosedoors Second in Breeders Crown
Behindclosedoors, a 3-year-old filly by Andover Hall-Margarita Nights-Yankee Glide, finished a strong second in the $500,000 Breeders Crown for sophomore trotting fillies on October 9 at Pocono Downs, timed in 1:55.1. Dave Palone steered the filly for trainer Chuck Sylvester and owners Melvin Hartmann, Herb Liverman and Dave McDuffee. Peninsula Farm sold Behindclosedoors for $125,000 at the 2008 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg. Her full brother—MORNING AFTER—sells in the Peninsula Farm consignment at the 2001 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg, November 8-13.

October 9, 2010~Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania
Fred And Ginger Second in Breeders Crown
Fred And Ginger, a 3-year-old son by Real Artist-Graceful Motion-Beach Towel, finished second in the $500,000 Breeders Crown for sophomore pacing colts, clocked in 1:50 with Brian Sears at the lines for trainer Ronnie Burke on October 9 at Pocono Downs. A winner of $590,839 in his career, Fred And Ginger is owned by Howard Taylor, Robert Feldman, Edwin Gold and the Exquisite Stables, and was bred by Ron Mersky. Peninsula Farm sold Fred And Ginger for $65,000 at the 2008 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale.

October 9, 2010~Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania
We Will See Third in Breeders Crown
We Will See, a 3-year-old son by Western Hanover-Aberdakera-Abercrombie, finished third in the $500,000 Breeders Crown for sophomore pacing colts on October 9 at Pocono Downs. Brent Miller guided the colt to a 1:50.1 clocking for trainer Sam DiPinto and owners
Earl Smith and Shannon DiPinto. We Will See was bred by Dave McDuffee and was foaled, raised and sold by Peninsula Farm for $30,000 at the 2008 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg.


October 8, 2010~Vernon, New York
The Evictor Wins John Simpson Memorial
The Evictor, a freshman son of Valley Victor-Expressive Chip-Pine Chip, captured the $15,447 John Simpson Memorial at Vernon Downs in 1:56. This fine colt drew off by 14 and ¾ lengths for driver Brandon Simpson and trainer John Butenschoen in a stunning, wire-to-wire performance, that was the fastest of all these stake divisions. A winner of $35,473 in his brief career, The Evictor was bred by Walstan Farm, and was sold by Peninsula Farm for $30,000 at the 2009 Lexington Selected Sale.

Peninsula Farm has strong history of raising and selling Valley Victor yearlings who go on to score great racing careers. Peninsula Farm will sell 16 Valley Victor yearlings at the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale, including seven colts and nine fillies, which runs from October 13-17 at the Fasig-Tipton Sales Pavilion in Lexington, Kentucky.

October 8, 2010~Vernon, New York
Homerun Hitter Wins Miracle Mile Division
Homerun Hitter, a sophomore son of Muscles Yankee--So So Chic--Sir Taurus, captured a division of the Miracle Mile in 1:57.1 in a gate-to-wire effort with trainer Ray Schnittker in the sulky. Homerun Hitter is owned by the Homerun Hitter Stable of Middletown, New York and was bred by Yankeeland Farms. Peninsula Farm raised and sold Homerun Hitter for $150,000 at the 2008 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg. His half-brother by Andover Hall--REDCARPETTREATMENT--sells in the Peninsula Farm consignment at the 2010 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg.


October 7, 2010~Lexington, Kentucky
Cathywithac Wins Red Mile Trot
Cathywithac, a 3-year-old daughter by Yankee Glide-Carrigan Hall-Conway Hall, captured a $3,100 Red Mile trot on October 7 in 1:57.4 with trainer Jan Johnson at the lines. The winner of $57,874 in his career is owned by Kg Bertmarks Hingstdepa AB of Sweden. She was bred by William Weaver’s Valley High Stable of Freehold, New Jersey. Cathywithac was  sold by Peninsula Farm for $92,000 at the 2008 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg. Her full brother—THE NEGOTIATOR—will sell at the 2010 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg.

October 7, 2010—Chester, Pennsylvania
The Chancellor Wins Chester Trot
The Chancellor, a 4-year-old son of Yankee Glide--Prime Mistress--Super Bowl, captured a $19,000 conditioned trot at Chester Downs in 1:53.4 on October 7. Andy Miller was at the lines for trainer July Miller and owners the Andy Miller Stable and the Arden Homestead Stable. The Chancellor was sold for $32,000 by Peninsula Farm at the 2007 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale. This fine trotter’s Cantab Hall half-brother--BEER SUMMIT—sells in the Peninsula Farm consignment at the Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg.


October 2, 2010~Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania
Behindclosedoors Wins Breeders Crown Elimination
Behindclosedoors, a 3-year-old filly by Andover Hall-Margarita Nights-Yankee Glide, captured her $25,000 Breeders Crown Elimination in 1:54.2 on October 2 at Pocono Downs. Dave Palone was in the sulky for trainer Chuck Sylvester, and owners Melvin Hartmann, Herb Liverman and Dave McDuffee. Behindclosedoors now has $378,130 in career earnings, and was sold for $125,000 by Peninsula Farm at the 2008 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg. Her full brother—MORNING AFTER—sells in the Peninsula Farm consignment at the 2001 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg this fall.

Peninsula Grads Second & Third in Breeders Crown Elimination
We Will See, a 3-year-old son by Western Hanover-Aberdakera-Abercrombie, finished a strong second in his $25,000 Breeders Crown elimination on October 2 at Pocono Downs with driver Brent Miller in the sulky. We Will See was clocked in 1:50.1 for trainer Sam DiPinto and owners Shannon DiPinto and Earl Smith. He was bred by Dave McDuffee and was foaled, raised and sold by Peninsula Farm for $30,000 at the 2008 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg.
Fred And Ginger, 3-year-old son by Real Artist-Graceful Motion-Beach Towel, finished third in this same event, timed in 1:50.1 for driver Brian Sears and trainer Ronnie Burke. This fine colt was driven by Ron Pierce to a 1:55.3 clocking for trainer Jimmy Takter and owners Christina Takter, Brixton Medical AB, Joyce McClelland and RAW Equine, Inc. Leader Of The Gang was bred by Herb Liverman and was foaled, raised and sold by Peninsula Farm for $170,000 at the 2009 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg.

Seducedbychocolate Third in Breeders Crown Elimination
Seducedbychocolate, a freshman daughter of Chocolatier-Seducer Hall-Garland Lobell, finished a hard-fought third in her $25,000 Breeders Crown Elimination on October 2 at Pocono Downs. David Miller steered the filly to a 1:57 clocking for trainer Jonas Czernyson and owner Maximum Force Stable, Inc. of Florida. Seducedbychocolate was bred by the Valley High Stable and was raised and sold by Peninsula Farm for $18,000 at the 2009 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg. Peninsula Farm will sell her half-sister by Cantab Hall—CAN’T BE SEDUCED—sells at the 2010 Standardbred Horse Sale at Harrisburg this fall.
